1. Course Introduction
CIE IGCSE Chemistry (Syllabus Code: 0620) provides students with a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the technological world in which they live, and an informed interest in science and scientific developments. Students learn about the basic principles of chemistry through a mix of theoretical study and practical investigations, developing essential skills for further academic pathways (such as A-Level or IB DP Chemistry).
Assessment Outline
The CIE IGCSE Chemistry 0620 course is assessed through three papers. Candidates who have studied the Core syllabus content are entered for Paper 1, Paper 3 and either Paper 5 or Paper 6. Candidates who have studied the Extended syllabus content (Core and Supplement) are entered for Paper 2, Paper 4 and either Paper 5 or Paper 6.
